A pool. A cast of kids. The height of the COVID-19 pandemic. If there was ever a production that tested every logistical muscle, this was it.

As Assistant Director, I partnered closely with the producers to keep everything moving- from creating call sheets and building the shooting schedule with the director and DP to coordinating COVID testing with the COVID Compliance Officer, and keeping cast and crew informed every step of the way. It was a crash course in adaptability, communication, and leading with calm in an incredibly unpredictable environment.

Being part of a project that celebrated Black creativity while navigating one of the most challenging times is something I'll always be proud of.
